NOSE SURGERY – A PERFECT NOSE FOR A PERFECT YOU!

Your nose is a prominent facial feature that greatly impacts your appearance. If your nose is too small, your face will look large and flat, if your nose is too big, your other facial features will be overshadowed and appear less attractive.

A proportionate and good looking nose is one that sits well and is in complete harmony with your face. However, not everyone is blessed with a perfect nose!

A Nose Surgery or Rhinoplasty is a surgical procedure that you can opt for to correct and reconstruct your nose for cosmetic or functional improvements.

Rhinoplasty, also known as a Nose Job or Nose Surgery, is a restorative operation to reshape a patient’s nose as per his/her needs. This surgery, not only assists in aesthetically enhancing the nose, but also, helps in improving the functions of the nose!

There are multiple imperfections of the nose that can be corrected. Concerns like a humped nose, saddle nose, depressed nose, flat nose, wide nose, wide tip, boxy tip, deviated, crooked nose, short nose or long nose are some of the problematic areas individuals aspire to fix with a nose job.

Additionally, Rhinoplasty may also be opted for correcting congenital disabilities, repairing injured noses and improving breathing difficulties caused by a deviated septum.

Generally, adults who are in good health, moderately healthy and have no life threatening illness or medical conditions are eligible for this surgery

Individuals who smoke have increased risk of complications and hence are advised to refrain from smoking for at least 2 weeks prior to the surgery.

We, at Dr. ______, offer the below 2 Rhinoplasty techniques,

Open Rhinoplasty

A new and advanced technique, in an Open Rhinoplasty, the incision is made on the underside of the nose. This allows for more exposure of the underlying cartilage and bone and thus, enables a better and accurate correction

Also, our experienced surgeons position the incision such that the resulting scar is not visible and easily gets hidden in the natural contours of the nose.

Closed Rhinoplasty

A traditional method, under this technique, all incisions are made inside the nostrils and nothing is visible on the outside!

Post Surgery Recovery & Care

The recovery time after a Nose Surgery varies

Ideally, it is recommended to take a few weeks off from work post the surgery to allow your nose to heal. The outcome of a nose job is usually dramatic and noticeable right after the dressing is removed. The nasal features refine over time and the final result can best be appreciated anytime between 3 months to 1 year after the surgery

In the end, what matters the most is, You being happy, healthy and comfortable with the outcome

Post the surgery, it is important to initially rest as much as you can, be careful while sneezing and limit sun exposure as skin around your nose is extra sensitive.

One must be aware of certain general risks like delayed healing, infections and an adverse reaction to anesthesia prior to opting for this surgical procedure. Additionally, all nose surgeries come with a less than 10% risk of residual deformity which may require a revision surgery.
